After Coronavirus Now HantaVirus attacks China

The world is still struggling to find a solution to Coronavirus and the new disease inflicted upon China as HantaVirus. The reports even claim the death of a man in China because of Hantavirus. China’s Global Times tweeted about a group of viruses called Hantavirus that are not airborne or caused by human interaction but by the rodents.

A man was returning to Shandong Province from Yunan in a bus and died on his way back. Rest 32 people on the bus were also taken for tests and chances of results being positive are high. Hantavirus is a virus spread from rodents, and it can cause various diseases in humans, stated the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. The deadly disease can cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) and haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS).

However, there is a silver lining on the cloud. Hantavirus cannot be transferred from human touch as it is caused by urine or faecal matter of the rodents. In the initial days, a person suffering from Hantavirus will have symptoms like fatigue, fever, and muscle aches, along with headaches, dizziness, chills and abdominal problems. In severe cases, it can lead to low blood pressure, acute shock, vascular leakage, and acute kidney failure.

As the virus is in its primary stage, it can be controlled by controlling the population of rodents, keeping the house clean and rodent-free. Currently, there are chances of spreading many other diseases, and there have been reports of SARC in some parts of Asia and India.
