Get your popcorns ready to watch a new comedy-drama series called ‘Rashbhari’ starring Swara Bhasker in the lead who is always known for her bold choices and audacious opinions. She has been very particular in her choice of characters that she does. After seeing her in ‘Veere Di Wedding’ now you can see her performance in Rashbhari. The whole set of series moves around a character named Shanu who is the new English teacher where one of her mentees falls for her. The character Shanu has also attracted so many men around the place in the town of Meerut.
The drama side of the series opens up when she heard about some allegations of slut-shaming. Nand one of her mentees is amongst those who stalk the new English teacher. When he discovers her supposed ‘sex-obsessed’ alter-ego the relationship between them moves to an interesting part of the story. There an ongoing witch hunt by the women of Meerut from which and takes up to rescues Shanu from all these. Nand’s mother named ‘Pushpa’ is also involved in this hunt. Nand now acts up as a mature person who is willing to take up Shanu’s responsibility.
As Swara writes on her social media ‘Savour the nostalgia of adolescent infatuation’ and announced it’s streaming on Amazon Prime.
The show is created by Tanveer Bookwala (Ragini MMS2) and Shantanu Srivastava (Kaushiki). Srivastava is also the writer of Rashbhari besides is Nikhil Nagesh Bhat (Brij Mohan Amar Rahe) as the director.
