Taj Hotels open their doors to support doctors fighting the war against Coronavirus

Coronavirus is spreading across the country rapidly, and they're more than 3000 positive cases. Considering their communal responsibility, Taj Hotels owned by Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), announced that they would open their premises for the healthcare professionals working day and night to treat the patients suffering from Covid-19. 

The President, Ginger MIDC Andheri, Ginger Madgaon, and Ginger Noida said that seven hotels across the country would open their doors for the doctors and nurses. IHCL gave a statement, "During these trying times, we at IHCL are keenly aware of our responsibility towards our community. As a reflection of our commitment, beginning today, we are offering rooms for the medical fraternity to stay while they combat the spread of the virus. These rooms will be available across 7 of our hotels, namely TajMahal Palace, Taj Lands End, TajSantacruz, The President, Ginger MIDC Andheri, Ginger Madgaon, and Ginger Noida. 

They further stated that "We deeply value the contribution from the medical community and will continue to work with them as well as the local authorities as we navigate through this crisis."

Apart from Taj Group, several other hotel chains like ITC, The Lalit, Lemon Tree, The Radisson, together are providing more than 45,000 rooms for the patients, travellers returning to India, and healthcare professionals. The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) stated that members of the association are coming together to extend their support. 

FHRAI stated that "The hospitality industry and its entrepreneurs have opened their doors to support the people and the central, state and local authorities to combat the Covid-19 pandemic."

Currently, India is an incomplete lockdown state till 15th April, but the cases are on rising, and it is an alarming situation for the county. The noble efforts and donations by the businessmen, celebrities, and our countrymen will help aid the healthcare professionals, scientists, and government to combat the challenging situation. Let's hope the pandemic ends soon, and we regain control of our life.
