All-rounder Hardik Pandya reveals his family was abused after Koffee with Karan Controversy

The Koffee with Karan episode of Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul became the controversy of the nation because of the casual sexism remarks and off-field behaviour during their international tour. The players faced severe criticism and were suspended for a month, but that wasn't it.

The all-round player was in a candid conversation "Cricbuzz in Conversation" with HarshaBhogle, where he shared how his family suffered due to the controversy.

The cricketer is an ace baller and batsman and shared, "When that happened, I said to myself, let's just accept it and try to correct the mistake. If I had not accepted that mistake, that part would have still been in me. That phrase does not bother me anymore because my family has accepted it."

Soon going to be the father, he said that "I am a family guy. Without family, I am no one. My family is my backbone. The Hardik Pandya you see right now is because of the people behind the scenes, looking after me. They make sure that I am mentally stable, and I stay happy."

He further added that it is his family who keeps him emotionally and mentally stable. And, when the incident happened, he was most affected when his father went to give an interview, and he was ridiculed.

He revealed during the conversation, "My family got abused. My father gave an interview post the incident, and people made a mockery of it. What hurt me the most was my action caused my family problems, and that's not acceptable."

During the conversation, he even shared how the constant trolling on social media, suspension, and the aftermath of the controversy made him stay inside the house for ten days. He just couldn't get out.

Now, as things are fine, he is back in the game and also going to be a father soon. He took to social media to announce that soon he will be married to his finance Natasa, and they are on the journey to parenthood.
