Leaked: Vital information of 2.9 crores job seekers on dark web for Free

According to Cyble, a cybersecurity intelligence firm, a vital information of 2.9 crore job seekers of India on dark web for free. The researchers of the firm regularly sweep over the Deep Web and Dark Web where they found a 2.4GB zip file on a hacking forum. 

The information was leaked by a threat actor whose identity is yet to be found. The official from the firm said, “The original leak appears to be from a resume aggregator service collecting data from various known job portals. Cyble’s team is still investigating this further and will be updating their article as they bring more facts to the surface,”

The blog post of Cyble said that the information was leaked for free and the amount of information was too much as if collected from a resume aggregator. They further added, “Cybercriminals are always on the lookout for such personal information to conduct various nefarious activities such as identity thefts, scams, and corporate espionage.”

The firm has acquired leak data and indexed information at Amlbreached.com, their data breach monitoring and notification platform. People who are concerned about their personal information can register about the information leakage at the platform. 

It is the second case of data leakage after the data leakage of Zoom cars. The database of 9.1crores was sold on dark web which contained important information like name, email, phone number, IP address, and encrypted passwords.
