Sonu Sood has become a saviour and Santa Claus for many poor students of a remote village of Haryana. When the actor hears that the children of Koti Village of Morni district in Haryana travel for miles to study using a Smartphone during Corona times; he was moved by their financial situation. He tweeted that students will no longer have to walk for miles.
The actor is an epitome of compassion and a true humanitarian. He saw a tweet by Hina Rohtaki where she shared the situation of students of Morni village. He immediately responded, “He retweeted, “No more travelling for these kids. They will have their smartphones by tomorrow “
He along with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) chairman, Karan Gilhotra, distributed the mobile phone and also arranged a virtual event for the students. The students were surprised on getting the Smartphones out of nowhere and of course, getting an opportunity to interact with the actor.
Sonu Sood tweeted and shared the news on Twitter, “A wonderful beginning to my day watching all the students get their smartphones to attend their online classes. @Karan_Gilhotra पढ़ेगा इंडिया तभी तो बढ़ेगा इंडिया| n thanks to @HinaRohtaki for bringing this need for the students to our notice.”
It isn’t the first time the actor came to help the needy; before this, he sent a Smartphone for a girl whose father sold his cow for her studies. Now he is campaigning for postponing the NEET JEE exam for 2-3 months considering the Corona situation. Also, he helped a student who wanted to become a CA but had to do odd jobs to support his family.
