Sunny Leone supports PETA India with a bold photoshoot

During Lakme Fashion Week, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone recently unveiled her new ad for PETA India. The photoshoot show her skin is torn off- it is just a message to stop the animal killing by ripping-off their skin into a fancy leather bag. Billion of cows, buffalos are getting tormented and killed for the sake of the global leather industry. Such a robust photoshoot had been done by the veteran photographer Avinash Gowariker.

Her outfit and makeup were assisted by Hitendra Kapopara and Devina Narang.  Also, her hairstyling and prosthetics makeup was done by Rajni Rajpakshe and Clover Wootton.

She uttered: “with truckloads of vegan bags, shoes, and jackets to opt from, it is not right to hurt our mother-nature and take life by wearing an animal’s skin. It is not cool though.” she further added: “After knowing the harsh truth of the global leather industry, I have taken a vow to protect animals and planet by spurning leather to the curb and urge my fans to join me.”

The head of lifestyle business for IMG Reliance, Jaspreet Chandok, said: “Sustainability is the key conversation at Lakme Fashion Week; we have worked in reducing our carbon footprint and will go ahead with the immense strategy towards a leather-free Fashion Day next season! We look forward to starting a new campaign against this serious issue and we are very glad to make a partnership with PETA India.”

You can choose various vegan leather and animal-friendly options that are available at all the major clothing shops in the country. PETA India offers a “PETA-Approved Vegan” logo with all the vegan leather products to help shoppers. Leone has already done several campaigns against pro-vegetarian, dog and cat sterilization, and Anti-fur.  Sunny Leone’s approach towards this campaign was remarkable and her photo-shoot shows the extremities!
