Sundar Pichai thanks PM Modi for the Digital India vision. He says that as a company google wishes to commit itself to India. He also adds up that he sees greater opportunities for Digital India. This fund that Google has raised will invest in both the large as well as small companies.
On the other hand, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also said that “there is immense scope for google in sectors like healthcare, agriculture, education in India”. Adding on the stated that India’s app economy is growing fast at a good speed so besides downloading the apps it is equally important to upload “Made in India” apps.

Pichai also had a conversation with Narendra Modi on Monday to which PM Modi tweeted “This morning, had an extremely fruitful conversation with @sundarpichai. We spoke on a wide range of subjects, particularly leveraging the power of technology to transform the lives of Indian farmers, youngsters, and entrepreneurs”.
Pichai quoted “Using this fund we want to build new products and services, invest in companies that build new products and services that are deeply relevant in India. We want to scale beyond English and other vernacular languages as well."
He also said that a lot of importance will be given to the small business which will help them grow in their digital sense.
He quotes that as google they are proud to be partners in India's digitization journey since 2004 opening their offices in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The focus was on getting the relevant information for the Indian users at that time.

He gives GPay the current example saying a fast and simple way to pay online whether it is a payment to a rickshaw-wala or sending money at your home.
Panchai says they will invest this money over the 5-7 years which is the reflection of their confidence in India and its digitization. Investments will focus on the 4 aspects which are affordable access and information for every Indian in their language, building new relevant products, empowering business, leveraging technology, and AI for social good.
He ends by saying that they look forward to work beside PM Modi and looking forward to work with small and medium-sized businesses.
