9 PM 9 Minutes results in house fire leading to death of 2 young girls and their grandmother

Prime Minister NarendraModi announced a candle ceremony on 5th April at 9pm for 9 minutes. The move was initiated to dispel the negativity and darkness hovering the world and pray for positivity, life and rejuvenation. Undoubtedly, the ceremony was noble and the turnout was great, but there were few families who lost their family members in the 9 minutes of candle lighting.

A house in KahuaMushari village of Sangrampur police station area in Munger district caught fire and everyone was declared burnt alive. In the house lived an elderly woman with her two granddaughters and they lighted the lamp to support the movement. But, their hit caught fire and along with their lives, even the cattle and grains were also burnt. The girls lived with their grandmother while their parents worked as a daily wage labourer in Delhi.

The fire was controlled with the help of neighbours and the deceased family will get 4lakhs as the compensation along with other government assistance.

It was not the only house that caught fire during the 9pm 9minute ceremony. There were a few other houses that caught fire in Munger and East Champaran districts. Ten houses in  Sapahi village of East Champaran district caught fire leading to damage of property. Exact cause of fire is still not clear, but it is believed that these houses burnt lamps in their hut leading to a massive fire breakout.
