FIR against the school for installing hidden cameras in washroom, recording videos and blackmailing 52 teachers for salary

In the prevalent times where the world is undergoing tremendous loss in terms of life, health, wealth, and future seem uncertain; still, some people prove humanity has become rare. A recent case came into the limelight where school teachers were being blackmailed for salary. 

The incident happened in Meerut city of Uttar Pradesh where 52 teachers filed a complaint that school management recorded their objectionable videos in the washroom. The teachers furthered said that they didn’t receive any salary for months, were forced to teach without pay and when they were asked for compensation; they were blackmailed. 

The FIR is lodged against the secretary of the school management and his son under sections 504 (intentional insult), 354 (a) (sexual harassment) and 354 (c) (voyeurism) of the Indian Penal Code. 

According to the reports of the Times of India, teachers were shown their objectionable videos and were blackmailed that their videos will be leaked, if they asked for salary. 

On questioning the secretary of the school’s management, he stated, “The sexual harassment allegations are absolutely false. It is true that we were unable to pay salaries for the last few months due to the prevailing situation."

He further added, “There is no CCTV inside the women’s toilet. But they have been installed in the gents’ toilets. This was done against the backdrop of recent cases of murder inside some schools.”

It’s a shame that people have fallen so low for money and are taking advantage of the people in need. Such incidents create fear amongst women that even today when people are pro-equality and women empowerment, still there are such notorious elements sabotaging careers and lives for money.
