Amir Khan and Sara Ali Khan are not the Brand Ambassadors of Vivo because of Indo-China disputes

Bollywood has always been in the limelight for some of the other but the reason would be Coronavirus, no one ever imagined that. Not only India is banning Chinese products or apps now China too has said a big no to cast Sara and Aamir in the next advertisements.

The tension between India and China has led to many clashes between the countries. The situation and tensions between both countries had bought many businesses down in the market. 

As a Chinese smartphone maker,vivo will not take in the brand ambassadors Aamir Khan and Sara Ali Khan. 

They will also not use these brand ambassadors for this forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). 

“Vivo will advertise new phone launches in the coming months including the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 for which it is title sponsor, but none of the new phones will be promoted by actors Aamir or Sara despite their star power,” states an executive.

Vivo India’s delegate has not responded to any of the queries regarding the same. 

Vivo twitter’s handle had Aamir khan featured but has not been seen on the same twitter handle now. Where Aamir khan signed up with Vivo in 2018 is now no more seen with Vivo. The multi-talented actor who is very well known for his craft in the Bollywood industry, he charges around Rs 4 Crore per day for brands shoot. 

Vivo has a Rs 2,000-crore-plus sponsorship deal with the IPL starting 2018 and pays the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Rs 440 crore per season.

Manish Porwal, managing director at talent management firm Alchemist Marketing & Talent Solutions. “While contracts can’t be terminated and they will continue to full term unless a force majeure clause is invoked, a scaling down of advertising showing celebrities upfront is expected for the time being”.
