The climate crisis is a global concern, and every car company is scratching its head to find out ways to create a new world where automobiles operate on electricity. Volkswagen Group is considered the most successful automaker and their factory is equipped with batteries containing lithium-ion cells. They are on the brink of developing the first electricity driven Audi Brand car called e-tron.

If they are able to convince the car and policy makers that e-tron is better than their internal combustion technology and has followed all the policies to control climate crisis, then nothing can beat them.

The rigid emission standards, production policies, and high cost involved in developing an electric car is making the car makers around the globe find alternatives. Some are opting for mergers to share the cost and others are transforming their business model altogether to adopt the policies and develop an automobile that can bid goodbye to diesel and petrol. In the new world where electricity driven cars will only exist billions are being invested in finding the right batteries or creating patented batteries to enjoy the competitor’s edge.

As of now, Tesla is leading the race with Volkswagen catching up. Volkswagen claims that e-tron an SUV can go up to 400 km and the batteries will charge within half an hour. If their claim does come true and the policy makers do give them a green signal, then it can easily beat its rivals and emerge as the leading player far above Tesla. Apart from the two, Porche’s Taycan is also ready and is displayed in Germany. But if the rumours are to be believed, Porsche may deliver aesthetic and material, but it is yet to achieve high-performance.
